'' This five-day course is designed to enables IT professionals to perform directory-related administrative tasks using eDirectory 8.7.3 on a cross-platform network that includes NetWare 6.5, Windows 2003 Server, and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 8.1 platforms. Students will learn the design principles that are key to planning an optimized eDirectory tree for an organization and the critical infrastructure processes that enable eDirectory to reliably maintain and securely replicate directory data on cross-platform servers over LANs and WANs.

Configure the Service Location Protocol
Synchronize time and install eDirectory 8.7.3

Pre-Requisites
Delegates are required to meet the following pre-requisites:
Experience with proprietary operating systems including NetWare 6.5 and Windows 2003
Familiarity with a Linux server and management tasks performed on a Linux server
Fundamental knowledge of networking technologies such DNS/DHCP, TCP/IP, etc.
Target Audience
This course is intended for Network Administrators and other network management professionals who have little or no experience using eDirectory but who are planning to implement eDirectory on a mixed platform or homogeneousplatform network.
