'' This two-day instructor led course offers hands-on training on the installation and configuration of RSA Authentication Manager, RSA Authentication Agents, and other RSA SecurID system components. The subject matter in this course prepares delegates with the classroom component recommended for the RSA SecurID Certified Systems Engineer certification. Objectives Plan and perform the pre-installation tasks to prepare for RSA Authentication Manager installation under UNIX and Windows 2000/3 operating systems Use the RADIUS interface functions of RSA Authentication Manager Combine server populations into a single realm (server consolidation) using RSA Authentication Manager tools and utilities Install and configure systems for remote administration including setup of the RSA SecurID Quick Admin application Create redundant/failover RSA Authentication Manager Replicas and understand the role and management of Replica servers Install and configure RSA Authentication Agents for local workstation and Web Access protection Perform RSA Authentication Agent host configurations to accomplish system load balancing Install and configure Microsoft Windows Agent software and perform configurations for domain authentication and offline authentication Pre-Requisites Delegates are required to meet the following prerequisites:-
Windows Server or UNIX Administration skills MUST Complete RSA06 RSA SecurID Administration. Target Audience This course is intended for technical personnel who install, service and support RSA SecurID installations Content Building a Security Solution Enterprise assessment - analysis by geography, population, and Administrative access needs (Host, Remote, Web, Realm, Server access, etc.) Security planning - Scalability, redundancy, performance Working with firewalls and Network Address Translation RSA Authentication Manager Installation Pre-Installation considerations in UNIX and Windows 2000/3 environments Installation and Configuration Lab Exercise RSA Authentication Agent software installation and system testing Other installation demonstrations (or team installation, as appropriate) and test installation with various classroom agents Post-Installation tasks: System configuration parameters, Agent settings and options, integration into a Microsoft Windows enviro nment, working with Legacy RSA ACE/Agent hosts Remote and Web Administration Configurations to allow Remote Administration (via LAN or other network) to RSA Authentication Manager host computers Installing and setting up RSA SecurID Quick Admin to allow remote administration via a web interface Managing RSA Authentication Manager Replicas Strategies for dealing with Primary server failures and Replica promotion Creating Replica packages Establishing Preferred and Failover servers in 5.x RSA ACE/Agent hosts Configuring load balancing Lock Manager Server Consolidation Database Dump and Load utilities Server Consolidation considerations and preparations Reconfiguring Agents (for new, consolidated server environment) RSA Authentication Agent Configurations Functions and features of popular and representative RSA Authentication Agent installations for Windows and UNIX environments Specific system installation and configurations to support the integration of RSA Authentication Agent for Microsoft Windows in a domain environment Configuring Agent software for Local, Windows domain and Web access protection Managing offline authentication for Microsoft Windows Handling Node Secret and sdconf.rec files Configuring load balancing for system Agents to Servers Using RADIUS with RSA Authentication Manager RADIUS functions and capabilities (of the RSA Authentication Manager system) Configuring RADIUS to integrate with RSA Authentication Manager RSA Authentication Manager Utilities and Upgrades RSA authentication Manager database Dump and Load utilities
