'' The ECDL is a Europe-wide qualification which allows the individual to demonstrate their competence in computer skills. It is the fastest growing IT user qualification now recognised in over 125 countries.
ECDL aims to raise your general level of competency in IT; to improve your productivity at work; to enable employers to invest more efficiently in IT and to ensure that best practice and quality issues are understood and implemented.

This qualification will confirm to potential employers that you have a professionally recognised, relevant and up-to-date qualification which assists in raising familiarity with current technology and its uses.

Progression
ECDL Advanced and ITQ are planned for sometime in the near future.

Within the ECDL qualification there are two funding/qualification levels. By itself, the ECDL award is only a level 1 qualification. Our aim therefore, is to register everyone for the British Computer Society¡¯s IT user Level 2 qualification as the expected outcome. This requires one further module of learning covering such topics as legal issues, health & safety, office integration and good practice.
