'' The shell acts as an intermediary between the user and the operating system, and acts a a command interpreter, interpreting what you type at the command line into a form the operating system can understand. The default command line interpreter for Linux is BASH. Shell programming is very powerful feature in Linux and complete programs can be written using shell command procedures. Shell scripts are widely used by the operating system and can also greatly simplify the job of the system administrator.
This training course is intended for existing Linux users who wish to learn how to create and use shell scripts to maximum advantage.
