'' This part-time course is designed for those: Progressing from Level 2 Updating their advanced qualification Gaining recognition for a role they already perform Suited to those applicants already working in the industry Because this is a higher level qualification students are expected to do a considerable amount of work in their own time.
This course can be studied as part of the AMA framework. Supervisory qualification Entry to teaching profession Extend skills Lead teams
Progression Successful completion of this qualification will aid entry to assessing and teaching of hairdressing. Course Content Nine units must be completed for the full NVQ/SVQ. Each candidate must complete four mandatory units plus five optional units. Mandatory Units (all must be completed) G1 Ensure your own actions, reduce risk to health and safety G6 Promote additional products or services to clients G9 Provide hairdressing consultation services H27 Create a variety of looks using a combination of cutting techniques
PLUS 5 Optional units, only 1 of which may be chosen from Option group 2. (All 5 optional units can be chosen from Group 1, if desired).

H23 Provide hair extension services H24 Develop and enhance your creative hairdressing skills H25 Style and dress hair to achieve a variety of creative looks H26 Style and dress long hair H28 Provide colour correction service H29 Perm hair using a variety of techniques H30 Colour hair using a variety of techniques H31 Provide corrective relaxing services H33 Style hair using thermal techniques H35 Create complex styles using African Caribbean styling techniques H36 Style hair using Locking Techniques BT20 Provide Indian head massage treatment
