'' The role of the licensed conveyancer is becoming increasingly important, especially as some solicitors choose to specialise in this field of work. The qualification is nationally recognised in the legal professions generally, and in the Conveyancing industry in particular. This qualification will assist the student in securing employment as a trainee conveyancer. When fully qualified it can assist in allowing the student to establish a LICENSED CONVEYANCERS business on their own account. Course Content Year 1 - Foundation *4 modules I Introduction to Licensed Conveyancing II Conveyancing Practice and Procedures III Introduction to Law and Legal Method IV Land Law and Contract Law *Modules I/II/III will be taught as self contained units, and assignments will be set during the module. Each assignment must be passed, and the results will be notified to CLC as part of the qualification for the Foundation Level.
You cannot apply to enter the end of year examination for Land and Contract unless CLC has already received the college summary of the assignment results and are satisfied as to your competence.
Students must successfully complete all assignments in Modules I, II and III and pass the end of year examination for Module IV (Land Law and Contract) in order to be awarded the Foundation Level qualification.
Year 2 - Final Level 3 modules I Conveyancing Law and Practice II Landlord and Tenant III Accounts
Each module is examined externally at the end of the year but assessment exercises will be set and students will be encouraged to complete assignments during the module to ensure that they are making progress. Students will be given access to past examination papers, which they can request from CLC direct. (A mock examination will be set in class as part of your examination preparation).
