This four day course provides a structured approach covering:
RRO fundamentals and fire legislation Fire science and fire in buildings Fire safety management of premises Fire safety and building design Practical fire risk assessment Delivered by BRE, who are currently responsible for advising Government on many Fire Safety issues including the RRO and Approved Document B. BRE are framework providers to the Office of the DCLG (formerly ODPM) for Fire Safety research to inform the development of Building Regulations and are retained by Government to represent the interests of ODPM at relevant fire safety related BSI, CEN and ISO standards committees and retained by DCLG (formerly ODPM) to investigate Fires of Special interest with implications to Building Regulations.
The course includes printed handouts, a copy of the RRO, lectures with key professionals together with question and answer sessions. The use of standard guidance documents, such as DCLG guide books, alternative guides, British Standards and Building Regulations - Approved Documents will be covered, as will insurance requirements.
