'' For over 15 years, Business Language Training has provided specialist English language training for people working in investment banking, corporate finance, accounting, consulting, government, law and insurance. The Course
This is an individually tailored course for those involved in banking and finance who need to improve their level of English. The course will extend your vocabulary into areas relating to your work and will develop your fluency and spontaneity so that you are able to establish and sustain business relationships with confidence.

Content
The content of the course will be shaped entirely by your specific language and business needs. No two English for Banking & Finance courses are the same but the following outline gives an idea of the balance of input in a typical course:

Functional
presenting a financial report or analysis
setting up and conducting a negotiation
taking part in meetings
giving financial information in oral and written form
summarising financial trends
giving economic/financial forecasts

Lexical
we work on developing the specific terminology relating to your work or area of business

Topical
a selection of interesting and challenging topics (using texts, extracts, broadcasts from the financial press & news as well as, where possible, materials supplied by the course participant) promote discussion and provide the basis for essential fluency practice and vocabulary work

Grammatical
even at advanced level there may be areas of the language with which you have particular difficulty

Pronunciation
work on pronunciation, stress and intonation to achieve greater authenticity in your use of spoken English.
