'' This class provides the technical and process information needed to design, deploy, and manage SANs based on the Brocade SilkWorm Director Fabric Switches (Brocade SilkWorm 12000 and 24000 switches). Lectures introduce the main concepts with a minimum of theory and a maximum of practical applications. Hands-on laboratory exercises apply the processes defined in lecture, using scenarios developed from real-world end-user solutions. Pre-class online learning focuses in-class time on the most important issues.

Portions of this course are designed as WBT; other portions are designed for stand-up delivery with an attending, non-virtual audience.

Learn How To

Identify, contrast and compare key hardware and software components of Brocade Director switches and describe and / or perform basic hardware tasks.
Describe and demonstrate ability to execute Brocade switch features and functionality on a Brocade Director switch.
Describe and establish plans to deploy Brocade Director switches in a SAN using a case study and technical resources.
Describe and partially implement steps needed to migrate a 12k to a 24k.
Capture and analyze basic Director Switch troubleshooting information using available technical resources
