Course Description:

'' This course has been designed to equip individuals with the fundamental knowledge, skills and understanding required by the electronic and microelectronic industries in the manufacturing, maintenance and service sectors. On completion of the course the individuals will be awarded a National Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a National Certificate in Electronic Engineering.

Structure
The full time course will take one year to complete. There are two intakes per year, one starting in September and finishing in June, the other starting in January and finishing in December.

The course comprises of a comprehensive course of Nationally devised units, which are internally assessed by college staff and externally monitored by the Scottish Qualification Authority. Assessment is undertaken on a continuous basis with no formal examinations.

Delivery takes place in a modern well equipped facility, utilising industrial standard hardware and software supported by the Scottish Micro Electronic Skills Consortium.
