'' Covers the basic principles of using a digital camera in the context of multimedia computing.
Structure A single credit SQA unit from the NQ in Creative Technology course it is composed of 5 assessments which cover the use of a digital camera and related computer software to compose, capture, store and manipulate digital images. Typical delivery of the unit is over a series of 13 off 3 hour sessions within the custom built Creative technology studios at Lauder College. An online version is currently under development which allow more flexible access.
Content There are 5 learning outcomes for this unit. 1 Describe the principles of photographic image formation for multimedia computer applications. 2 Compose and store digital photographic images. 3 Enhance digital images using computer software. 4 Plan, produce and present a portfolio of digital photographic images to a give brief. 5 Comply with legislation and practice appropriate to digital photography.
