'' Explaining and applying screening fitness, testing, assessment of results and their appropriate use.
Structure This course is a stand alone SQA Unit. Students will study 3 hours per week in a class as well as undertaking home based work. The course will take 40 hours of study to complete. The course is continuously assessed.
Content The course covers the following areas: - Apply Appropriate Screening Procedures prior to Fitness Testing - Demonstrate the Protocols for Fitness Tests Measuring the Main Components of Physical Fitness - Evaluate and Present Fitness Test Results.
Career Opportunities Completion of this unit shows a high level of knowledge and understanding for those wishing to progress into a career in Fitness, Health and Exercise.
Progression This unit forms part of an HNC in Fitness, Health and Exercise.
Preferred Entry Requirements It is recommended that candidates have either an Intermediate 2 or Higher National qualification in Anatomy and Physiology.
