'' The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) is the leading professional Accountancy body for Public Services. The CIPFA professional qualification is high quality, relevant and practical and is supported by a range of other products and services.
Every student has an open-learning package. CIPFA also recommends that for maximum benefit students attend value added classes. These are provided by the university for Certificate, Diploma and Final Test of Professional Competence levels on a day release basis.
An integral part of the CIPFA scheme is on the job professional training and students must complete validated workplace experience with registered CIPFA employer. For the final year (test of Professional Competence) students must be employed within the finance function of a relevant organisation. It is normal for students to be sponsored by an employer throughout the three years of their studies.
