'' This 5 day lecture/lab course describes in detail how to plan, install, configure, test, and troubleshoot the hardware and software components for TruCluster Server on hpTru64 UNIX systems. It shows how to set up available services, how to monitor the cluster, and how to write action scripts. It includes both the Memory Channel and LAN cluster interconnect, supported in v5.1A.

Learn How To

Describe the TruCluster Server concepts and product components
Determine the hardware needs of various cluster configurations
Install and set up TruCluster hardware including KZPBA PCI SCSI adapters, Memory Channel PCI Adapter and Memory Channel Hub
Set up the TruCluster software for all member nodes
Set up and maintain services and highly available applications
Use the cluster management tools to monitor and maintain cluster member nodes and the cluster alias subsystem
Identify and resolve cluster-related problems

This course is designed for system administrators and support personnel who have experience managing an hp Tru64 UNIX environment and require instruction on configuring and maintaining hp Tru64 UNIX clusters.






Suggested Prerequisites

In order to successfully complete this course, the student should be able to:

Install and manage a Tru64 UNIX system
Install layered products and register PAKs
Troubleshoot the operating system and make adjustments to system configuration
Connect to a TCP/IP network and understand subnetworking concepts
Set up and maintain distributed network services such as NTP
Set up a Network File System
Install and maintain AdvFS and LSM
