Training Course:OpenVMS System Management I: Essentials for Established SystemsSchool/Trainer:Global Knowledge (UK) Inc. Dublin,Maidenhead, United Kingdom
Course Format: Classroom | E-learning | Virtual Class | Online | On-site | Blended | Self-paced
Course Description:
'' This course presents the system manager who is new to OpenVMS or OpenVMS system management with the core information and essential skills needed to examine the system, both the hardware and the software configuration and the administrative setup already in place.
The introductory material leads to modules that address specific system management responsibilities: management of user data and user accounts and of queues for batch and print processing. Another module shows the manager how to check the network setup of the system. The system manager must attend to system startup and shutdown, what happens and how to deal with problems. The ultimate failsafe against problems is an effective backup process, both a strategy and an implementation. After discussing the Backup Utility, the course concludes with a discussion of day-to-day management tasks.
