'' This class is designed as hands-on installation and support training for individuals new to DiskXtender 2000 mass storage systems. Legatos MediaStor media services software and its use with DiskXtender is also covered.
Learn How To
Describe the basic NT/Windows 2000 characteristics of concern with respect to MediaStor media services and the DiskXtender mass storage service. Install and configure DiskXtender and MediaStor. Demonstrate the ability to properly start and secure media services provided by MediaStor. Demonstrating the ability to start and secure storage services. Identify media that can be used with this system and describe available file systems for use including advantages and disadvantages, Implement extended drive management by proper utilization of move groups, move rules, purge rules, delete rules, and scheduling of pre-fetch requests. Describe disaster recovery concerns and methods. Successfully pass the qualification exam
