'' Advanced IP Routing focuses on IP routing protocols and principles not covered in the prerequisite courses. Primary emphasis is give to theory, configuration, operation and support of the OSPF protocol. Special considerations are give to OSPF areas, summary ranges and external routes. This course also includes a review of address masks, RIP, RIP 2, the use and configuration of IP route policy filters and an introduction to BGP and its basic configuration. Through hands-on exercises, this course provides you with the necessary skills to configure and manage OSPF, RIP, BGP and route policy filters.

Configure IP and RIP in a network of Point-to-Point and hub and spoke Frame Relay links, as well as LANs Configure and use IP route policy filters to control network advertisements Evaluate advantages and disadvantages of RIP and OSPF in networks of different sizes and topologies Configure IP and OSPF in a network of Point-to-Point and fully-meshed Frame Relay links and LANs Configure OSPF with multiple areas, area summaries (ranges), virtual links, stub areas, and external routes Observe and describe the effect of RIP 1, RIP 2, OSPF and BGP using Statistics Manager and Technician Interface (TI) Verify the status and proper operation of RIP1, RIP2, OSPF, and BGP using Event Log Configure a BGP connection from the perspective of a customer entry point to an Internet service provider (ISP)
