'' Auditors¡¯ findings and recommendations are often challenged by management on the grounds that sampling activity is unrepresentative and that opinions reached are inconclusive in terms of significance. In order to overcome this deficiency, auditors are increasingly turning to modern methods of statistical sampling which have been greatly improved as a result of computer technology. This course provides a sound understanding of the concept in layman¡¯s terms and indicates potential areas of pragmatic usage.
