Training Course:Delivering Sustained Business ValueSchool/Trainer:The Business School - Loughborough University Loughborough, Leicestershire, United Kingdom
Course Format: Classroom | E-learning | Virtual Class | Online | On-site | Blended | Self-paced
Course Description:
'' Organisations ultimately invest in IT to deliver value to the business. Yet, for most, the achievement of this value has proved to be elusive. A number of reasons can be suggested for this, including misalignment of IT investment with corporate strategy and poor IT project management. Yet, even when IT investments are made within a strategic context, the expected benefits 每 even if they have been detailed in an investment proposal 每 are not guaranteed to flow.
What most managers do not appreciate is that IT has no inherent value 每 possession does not guarantee business results. This value must be unlocked. Business value only emerges through organisational change 每 which can be enabled and shaped by IT 每 and that this change must be managed if it is to have a positive outcome.
This two-day programme focuses on demonstrating how organisations can realise business value from IT investments and will address the following issues:
the strategic context of IT investments an overview of the process of IT strategy formulation an assessment of the impact of IT on the organisation the process of unlocking business value from IT investments how to construct a benefits realisation plan managing IT related change ...''
