This course is intended for experienced Novell network support professionals.






Suggested Prerequisites

Experience with the following networking tasks, not necessarily in NetWare:

Adding, editing, deleting Objects in a directory
Assigning rights and managing user information in a directory
Managing traditional volumes and network storage
Managing email and Instant Messaging Services on a network
Managing and distributing workstation applications
Managing Enterprise user desktops
Managing printers and troubleshooting printers

Experience with the following NetWare 6 networking tasks gained either through job experience or attendance of Foundations of Novell Networking Course, 3001 and Novell Network Management, Course 3004:

Troubleshooting basic NetWare 6 and Novell Client problems
Building a TCP/IP Network using NetWare 6
Managing and optimizing NetWare 6 Servers
Implementing and troubleshooting external security measures
Managing eDirectory upgrades, object moves and schema extensions
Managing and troubleshooting Novell Licensing Services
Setting UP and configuring NSS
Adding a NetWare 6 Server to an eDirectory tree
