'' This course introduces students to the new features in Oracle9i that impact database administration. Students learn how to use Oracle9i capabilities to increase database availability, to simplify database performance monitoring and tuning, and to improve database manageability. The course also covers security and development platform changes that students need to understand if applications running in databases they support use the related features. Hands-on practice sessions give students an opportunity to examine many of the new features for themselves.
