Aims
Traditionally, the responsibility of buying print has rested with an organisation¡¯s marketing department and the tactical process of specifying and communicating with suppliers has become technically complex. Recognising that many organisations spend considerable sums on print, procurement managers are increasingly becoming involved in this category without the benefit of specialist technical knowledge and often seek a simple and effective way to make an impact in this area.

The printed product can significantly influence how an organisation is perceived by its marketplace. The challenge faced by many procurement managers is to deliver savings and efficiencies without compromising the quality and service that is essential to support the marketing function.
