'' This event is aimed at purchasing professionals who would like to gain a better understanding of the procurement of software licences and how to add value to this process whilst avoiding commercial and contractual pitfalls. In addition, non-purchasing personnel at all levels who are involved in the purchase of software licences and would like to gain a better commercial understanding of this topic will also benefit.

Aims
In the modern business environment, entering into arrangements for software licences can be a minefield. ¡°IPR¡±, ¡°title¡±, ¡°bespoke development¡±, ¡±concurrent users¡±, ¡°run-time licence¡± and ¡°volume licensing agreement¡± are just some of the many terms associated with the software licensing world. The aim of this half-day seminar is to provide an overview of software licensing, including types of licence, common contractual terms, commercial considerations, supplier tactics and sourcing options. In addition the event will cover the key aspects of Microsoft volume licensing agreements and aims to provide simple, practical advice and ideas for delegates to apply in their own software procurement projects.
