'' The course is designed for new and experienced public and private sector managers who have a strong interest in building high performing teams.

COURSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The aim of this course is to extend the participant¡¯s knowledge and skills in teams to enable them to build high performing teams. The course objective is to equip mangers with the skills necessary for them to implement effective team planning and development activities in the workplace with their work group or team.

This one day program will focus on the following topics:

The High Energy Teams Model;
Stages of team development;
Characteristics of high performing teams;
Team planning and development ¨C a strategic process;
Linking leadership;
Team rules; and
Value of diversity in teams
METHOD OF DELIVERY
The course will use a combination of short talks, discussions, case studies, and practical activities.

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

Describe the characteristics of high performing teams;
Describe the stages of team development;
Appreciate the value of diversity in building high performing teams;
Understand how to harness the diversity within their team;
Apply the high energy teams model to team planning and development activities with their team;
Undertake a process with their team to establish a set of team rules; and
Develop a plan for developing their team into a high performing team.
