'' This course is designed to allow both private and public sector managers to understand and apply the techniques and terms used in business finance to analyse and manage an organisation¡¯s financial performance.
COURSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The management of an organisation¡¯s financial resources is critical to its effective performance and achievement of its goals. This two day course will introduce participants to the concepts used in business finance and will enable them to apply business finance techniques to practical situations as an aid to financial decision making.
COURSE CONTENT
Day One
Business organisation, financial statements, financial markets and interest rates, debt vs equity, the stock market.
Day Two
Determinants of interest rates, time value of money, present value of annuities, net present value and project evaluation.
METHOD OF DELIVERY
In seminar style, a mixture of theory and case studies will be used to present and illustrate concepts. Numerical problem-solving exercises will be used to give practical applications of techniques.
