'' This course is designed for people who wish to build their confidence to speak up in the workplace and make effective contributions, such as at meetings, interviews and consultative processes.
COURSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES This one-day, outcome-oriented course gives participants strategies, skills and thinking processes for confidently speaking up in the workplace so that they are heard and can respond with dignity.
COURSE CONTENT This one-day course focuses on:
The mental frameworks surrounding speaking up in the workplace ¨C exploring the fears and beliefs that can undermine and sabotage confidence; How to break the sabotage cycle, build confidence and address fears; How to manage what experiences mean for people so that you are seen as credible and are heard; and Language and voice strategies that enhance confidence and build capacity to influence. METHOD OF DELIVERY In a supportive, coaching environment, the course takes participants through a sequence of practical, skill-based exercises to build confidence. The exercises are complemented by short presentations and demonstrations. Participants develop a six-month action plan that is supported by post-course email coaching.
