'' This workshop is designed for those who are responsible for, or aspiring to be responsible for, delivering outcomes in a timely manner in a dynamic environment.
COURSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES The aims and objectives of this course are to develop participants¡¯ understanding of how to manage projects. The course is designed to enable participants¡¯, as an individual and/or project team member, to undertake projects in a consistent way, using an agreed Project Management Framework.
COURSE CONTENT This two-day course, introduces participants to the internationally recognised best practice framework for project delivery: PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) The course also aligns with competencies recognised by PSETA (Public Service Education & Training Australia) and the AIPM (Australian Institute of Project Management)
The topics covered in this course include:
Project scoping and definition Project planning Project managing and implementation Project finalisation and evaluation During exploration of the main topics, the course will focus on scope, time, cost, quality, risk, procurement, communication, people and integration.
METHOD OF DELIVERY The course will be delivered through face to face presentation and group exercises as well as an opportunity to case study some of the participants¡¯ ¡®live¡¯ projects. Participants will be provided with a comprehensive manual detailing key concepts, frameworks, steps and templates for managing projects, including practical tools for managing the major project cycle stages.
