'' Explore drawing through the use of different media. From a themed starting point you will develop a personal response to drawing using collage, paint and relief methods, as well as traditional drawing materials. Some previous experience of drawing would be an advantage. Basic materials included.

What is the course about?
This course aims to extend the experience of drawing through use of line, tone, texture, shape and form, with traditional materials (pencils, charcoal, pastels), to the use and manipulation of mixed-media such as collage, paint, paper structures and wire. Students will be encouraged to respond in an expressive and creative way. Projects may be interpreted in either an abstract or more literal manner.
The course may appeal to anyone interested in mixed-media drawing, but also suggests common links with fine art, sculpture and textiles.

What level is the course?
This is a course for students who have some drawing experience (ie have completed at least one course of Drawing 1 or equivalent) and those with a more specialist interest.
