'' Ideal if you enjoy playing in instrumental ensembles. Entry level is grade 5 and you will need to be able to sight-read fluently. Please apply early as some instrumental places will be limited.

What is the course about?
By playing in a mixed group, musicians experience at first hand the worlds of the composers and the colours and possibilities of various instruments.

What level is the course?
Technical ability of at least Grade 5 and a good sense of rhythm. Entry is subject to the ability to sustain an independent line and to a balance of instrumentation.

What will the course cover? (contents,themes,projects)
- Varied works are chosen to suit the players available.
- Each work is studied for a few weeks and players are regrouped from time to time.
- The repertoire is generally from Telemann to the present day.
- At the end of a term groups perform to each other.
