'' Complementing the midi side of Cubase, our audio courses cover recording voices and instruments, editing and the manipulation of audio files, loops and samples. You will create your own mixes and burn these to CD.

What is the course about?
Recording, editing and processing audio with Cubase SX. You will use a microphone to record sounds, edit and process these, and other tutor prepared sound files to create a finished mix

What level is the course?
This is a beginners’ course aimed at anyone wishing to learn how to put this exciting technology to creative use. No prior experience of music sequencing is necessary, however a degree of familiarity with computers would be a distinct advantage

What will the course cover? (contents,themes,projects)
- Setting up a project studio and the necessary hardware and software requirements
- Recording and editing audio parts in the Project window
- Using tools to extend and create multi-track audio arrangements
- Manipulating and refining parts using various editing and processing procedures
- Operating the mixer and effects automation
- Applying EQ, and plug-in effects
- Mixing down to a stereo audio file and burning this to CD

By the end of this course you should be able to:
- Demonstrate a good understanding of the range of equipment and procedures typical of a project studio
- Record and edit audio using Cubase SX

- Automate a mix and effects
- Mix your pieces down to stereo audio files and burn these to an audio CD
