'' Learn how to use the tools and techniques of quick (1-3 minutes) sketching to enrich your travel and everyday experiences. Photography is not always welcome in some areas today but sketching is, and it often opens the door to interesting and unusual adventures. See the pictorial record of this artists everyday life and travels in over 40 countries. Learn how to communicate through sketching and to develop your own personal system through demonstrations, practice sessions from slides, photographs, and life. This workshop has been oversubscribed at the Smithsonian, Los Angeles Museum of Natural History, University of California, and UNM. All levels of drawing skills, including repeaters, are welcome. A $17 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class meeting. Bring lunches, 8 1/2" x 11" copy paper and clipboard. Limited to 10 students. ...''
