'' The goal of this course is to welcome the beginning student as well as the more advanced artist to explore the basic techniques of watercolor, focusing on both observation and design. We will emphasize creative expression and enjoy the unexpected surprises that come along with this medium. Learn to develop a final painting from beginning stages to a finished product with the help of in class demonstrations, one on one artistic advice and peer collaboration. Our painting subjects will range from still life observation, photos, landscape subjects and two dimensional designs from imagination. Topics covered will include: basic design, color, composition, and glazing and layering techniques. ...''
