Course Description:
'' Adaptive Skiing & Snowboarding is located at the Pajarito Ski Area outside of Los Alamos. Participants sign on for either a three week session or a six week session of individual ski lessons. The program provides ski equipment adapted to the individuals needs, lessons and lift tickets. The fun and excitement generate themselves. The program takes place in January and February each winter.
We operate at the Pajarito Mountain Ski Area in Los Alamos, NM on Fridays and Sundays from the middle of Janurary to the middle of March each winter weather permitting.
This program has the capacity to celebrate the freedom skiing and snowboarding provides to all people; to promote a quality skiing experience; and to make the ski mountain accessible by using adaptive teaching techniques and equipment that foster friendships and understanding between disabled and non-disabled participants in a safe and educational atmosphere of fun to anyone who experiences any type of disability. ...''
