This course emphasizes the understanding of residential hydronic heating systems, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair through lecture and hands-on projects. Topics covered include boiler maintenance, service, sizing, size radiation, size circulator pumps, piping layout, zoning, using boilers as tankless heaters, indirect water heating, space heating, and snow melting applications. In addition, the student will learn radiant heating, controls, troubleshooting techniques, code, and safety.
