'' The Master of Science in Nursing degree with a specialty in Community Health Nursing prepares nurses for advanced practice in the care of vulnerable populations and communities. The curriculum includes broad foundational knowledge essential for the care of populations and communities. Improving the health of populations and communities is addressed through leadership strategies, health policy development and program implementation. Community partnerships and collaborations are emphasized throughout the curriculum. The goal of this program is to prepare a clinical nurse specialist who will promote the health and well-being of populations and communities. Upon completion of the master’s program, students will be eligible to take the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) examination for the Clinical Nurse Specialist certificate in Community Health Nursing.
