'' This course offers you the first building block to becoming confident in manual camera operation and understanding the magic of darkroom processes! The fundamentals included are: manual camera operation, light meters, exposure, filters, flashes, elements of composition, film, film processing, contact sheets and fine print developing. This course is the basis to all modern photography practices including digital. Bring a 35mm camera with manual capabilities. Film requirements will be discussed in the first class. All students will receive darkroom studio access during open studio hours. This course does not require any prior camera knowledge. (Because this course is self-supporting, no tuition waivers or exemptions are allowed.) 18 hours.
