'' The Medical Transcription Certificate offers the opportunity to develop the skills in medical transcription necessary for an entry-level position. Throughout the coursework, actual physician-dictated material is transcribed.

Upon completion of this certificate, the basic tools and skills are developed to begin work as an entry-level transcriptionist in a variety of healthcare facilities or to work from home.

In order to complete this certificate, students are able to select several of the courses in a traditional or in an online environment. The remaining courses are presently only available via the online format.
