'' Successful managers recognize the need to continuously expand and refine the accounting tools and resources available to them. These tools include financial analysis, cost accounting, taxation, and auditing. Modern demands on managers require a thorough understanding of accounting.

The University of Dallas MBA in Accounting is designed for three groups of managers:

For the non-accountant manager who is challenged with accounting issues, this MBA concentration provides a strong core of management knowledge and tools complemented by an in depth background in accounting principles and skills.

For the CPA, who already possesses the technical skills of accounting, but desires to expand his or her managerial skills and add additional areas of accounting knowledge.

For managers who intend to eventually take the CPA exam. This concentration can provide added value through the accounting coursework earned while completing the MBA degree. Note: after completing their MBA students may need to take additional accounting courses to meet all of the requirements for taking the CPA exam.
