'' In this course we will explain how Oracle Identity Manager fits into Oracle\’s strategy on Identity and Access management solution. This course will provide Developers with an in-depth understanding on how to build and use Oracle Identity Manager connectors for the purpose of provisioning and reconciliation.

This course is built on a comprehensive practice and workshop where we are using an example of Oracle database as a target resource to provision the user identities and iPlanet LDAP server to demonstrate trusted source reconciliation.

The course looks at Oracle Identity Manager from a developer\’s perspective and teaches the students how to use Oracle Identity Manager Design Console and Oracle Identity Manager Administration and User Console to build, customize and use Oracle Identity Manager connectors.

Learn to:


Install Oracle Identity Manager, understand it’s architecture and describe the basic building blocks of Oracle Identity Manager Connector
Incorporate an approval process to the provisioning user workflow
Build the steps to provision a new user to a target system manually and through auto-provisioning
Use Oracle Identity Manager to recognize the existence of a new/existing user on external system and to transfer this account into Oracle Identity Manager using the process of user/account discovery
Expand on the provisioning workflow to disable, enable, modify the password and delete the user account within the target system
Transfer the Oracle Identity Manager connectors from development to staging to production environment
