'' The program is approved by the American Bar Association. Paralegals are employed in both the public and private sectors, under attorney supervision. Their skills are highly valuable to law firms, government agencies, corporations and virtually anyone requiring legal services.

The Paralegal Studies program offers several advantages, such as faculty who are attorneys with paralegal backgrounds, on-line access to computerized legal research, and Moot Court competitions. Moreover, the program is focused on providing the student with vital hands-on legal office skills and a strong emphasis on writing and legal analysis, while encouraging a well-rounded education in business and the liberal arts.

Upon completing the program, the student receives the Associate in Occupational Studies degree with a major in Paralegal Studies. Accordingly, the graduate is prepared for immediate employment as a paralegal, or continuing education in a four-year college leading to a bachelor’s degree, and a legal background which can be very valuable for success in law school.
