Course Description:

'' Our Teaching English to Speakers of Others Languages (TESOL) program offers opportunities for learning and for developing as a professional. The program empahsizes language acquisition, teaching methodology, language testing, research, and sociocultural influences.

This program could prepare teachers for a wide variety of positions both in the U.S. and abroad as well as to prepare and qualify teachers to work in classrooms or other educational settings where students are learning to speak, read, and write English as a second language (kindergarten through adult levels).

Admission

First, the prospective student must gain admission to the university with graduate status. Applications can be obtained by writing to the Xincon Admissions Office.

Requirements

In addition to university requirements for admission to graduate study, the TESOL Program requires that applicants a minimum 500 on the paper TOEFL test or a score of at least Reading: 85 / Listening: 90 on Xincon Placement Test--ACT Compass / ESL Placement Test.
