'' This advanced course teaches you the commands necessary for prioritizing and segmenting your network traffic. After successfully completing this course, you will be able to configure Cisco routers for operation in large or growing multiprotocol internetworks. The course includes laboratory exercises that focus primarily on scalable technologies and the Cisco software features that are most useful in building large or growing internetworks. These features include standard and extended access lists, queuing, scalable routing protocols, such as OSPF and EIGRP, route redistribution, route summarization, dial-on-demand routing, dial backup, and the integration of bridging with a routed network

CCNP Course Overview

The rationale behind the new CCNP program is that a CCNP certified individual should be able to support any kind of network - including wireless and voice. The new CCNP program maintains its focus on the advanced skills required to manage the routers and switches that form the network core, but also expands to include techniques to deploy and support wireless, voice, and security applications on the network edge. Network professionals who achieve the new CCNP certification will demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to fully utilize Cisco Integrated Service Routers (ISR), which provide wire-speed delivery of concurrent data, voice, video, and wireless services applications. By passing the exams, you will also demonstrate the expertise necessary to integrate and manage converged networks, quality of service (QoS), and virtual private networks (VPNs).
