'' Computer-based crime has become an enormous global problem for business and law enforcement agencies at all levels. As a result, there is a growing need for individuals who combine criminal justice knowledge with computer-technology skills to investigate this new and growing area of criminal activity.

The Bachelor of Science in Cybercrime Investigation (BSCI) degree program is designed to equip you with a base of practical, real-world applications in the field of criminal justice with strong emphasis on foundational studies in the electronic criminal investigation of such crimes as fraud, identity theft, computer terrorism, and other computer-related crimes that are committed in both a national and global environment. The investigation of computer-based crimes is not limited to federal, state and local agencies but is also increasing in organizations that conduct business in an electronic environment.

What skills can I learn?
Students who successfully complete the BSCI degree program should be able to:
Demonstrate knowledge of the basic organizational structure and functionality of the criminal justice system.
Apply the knowledge and skills of gathering and preserving both physical and electronic evidence.
Identify the phases of an ethical and legal criminal investigation conducted through the proper application of the investigation process.
Demonstrate the ability to electronically identify criminal activity and search for possible perpetrators.
