The Nail Technology program is designed to provide the student the opportunity to acquire the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to enter the work force as an entry-level nail technician. Courses cover the study of nail structure, manicures, pedicures, advanced nail applications, business management, law, and customer relations. Students are also prepared to identify nail disorders and diseases. Upon completion, students will be qualified to take the examination administered by the Alabama Board of Cosmetology for manicuring.
