'' The doctorate you’re looking for. Utilizing a unique blend of online and on-site study, the Doctor of Education (EdD) program in Counseling Psychology is designed to help you prepare you for advanced and expanded career opportunities. This degree program provides you with the knowledge base and skills necessary to pursue a broadened counseling practice, as well as, extend your career options in training, supervision, consultation, teaching, and organizational work. Students in this program typically have backgrounds in mental health, social work, school counseling, pastoral counseling, or psychiatric nursing, and are exposed to a diverse array of backgrounds and theoretical orientations within the faculty. Scholarly work can be focused on the application of research techniques to counseling practice.

Admissions Requirements:

A master’s degree from a regionally accredited educational institution, an appropriately certified international educational institution, or select institutions accredited by recognized independent national or professional bodies.

A grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in work leading to master’s degree and in any subsequent graduate study.

Minimum TOEFL scores of 213 (computer version) or 550 (paper version) required of applicants whose native language is not English or who have not graduated from an institution at which English is the language of instruction.

Other requirements as determined by the program of study.
