As more companies transition from traditional business models to e-Business enterprises, individuals who understand and can work effectively within the virtual marketplace are in demand.

The Associate of Science in e-Business (ASeB) degree program introduces you to the evolving electronic business world. It is designed to prepare you for a professional career implementing the technologies that enable an organization to engage in business between businesses and with consumers. An integrated curriculum enables you the opportunity to develop the ability to create applications dealing with e-Business. Program content is designed to develop technological skills, which are complemented by courses in humanities, social science and professional communication.

Students who successfully complete the ASeB degree program should be able to:
Effectively use written and verbal modes of communication.
Show an understanding of the diverse national and global cultural environments in which they work.
Work effectively as a problem-solving team member.
Access, evaluate, and use information to create knowledge.
Describe advanced features of the JAVA programming language that support object-oriented programming, the graphical user interface and containers that lead to a good basis for the development of middle ware.
Discuss using an intermediate working knowledge level of JAVA programming language, and the JAVA class libraries (JAVA API’s).
Discern the impact e-Business has on an organization: internally, with employees, and externally with suppliers and customers.
Demonstrate an understanding of the marketing process and concept as applied to e-Business.
Demonstrate the use of various tools and techniques, including HTML, XHTML, and Internet Explorer and employ current web browser, text editing, and graphics composition skills to design and develop interactive web pages.
