Training Course:Information Technology (SDLC) Systems Development Life CycleSchool/Trainer:University of Connecticut - Stamford Stamford, Connecticut, United States
Course Format: Classroom | E-learning | Virtual Class | Online | On-site | Blended | Self-paced
Course Description:
'' According to a study by the Standish group, only 9% of technology investments are completed on time, on budget, and within the original project scope. Corporations today are investing more than ever in continuing education to develop skilled information technology project managers and effective project teams. A successful manager of information technology projects must utilize concepts and techniques that go beyond the purely technical. Many IT projects fail because of a lack of customer input, incomplete or changing requirements, and/or a lack of executive support. The course suggests strategies for dealing with these issues. New technologies can also aid in managing information projects. Examples of using software to aid in project management are included throughout the course.

Students may not have operated in a project environment, but need to understand what is expected of them as project participants.
