Course Description:
'' The goal of the Certificate in Health Policy (CHP) is to provide graduate training in the area of public policy as it applies to health. CHP participants will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and influence policies that affect the health of individuals and communities.
Intended Audience At the Institute for Policy Studies, Master of Arts in Public Policy: students interested in health policy; at the Bloomberg School of Public Health: MPH students, MHS students and doctoral students.
Admissions Criteria Students must be enrolled in a graduate program at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health or a MPP student from the Institute for Policy Studies. The certificate program is also open to non-degree students interested in current topics in health policy who hold a minimum a baccalaureate degree from an approved institution. When these participants obtain 16 credits, they will be required to apply to the School of Public Health, either for a degree program or as a special student regular. Special student regular status will allow these students to complete remaining credits for the certificate. Note: This certificate is only open to students available for on-site coursework in East Batlimore.

Requirements for Successful Completion Students must successfully complete 5 required courses (17 credits) and at least 3 elective credits of courses from the approved list for a total of 20 credits minimum.
