'' This course provides a thorough introduction to the features of Softimage’s XSI system. The session covers a wide variety of concepts and functions of this state of the art non-linear animation tool. Sessions are divided into instructor-led lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice modules which stress a creative, problem-solving approach.
Goals
Understand Softimage’s XSI tools, interface, terms and concepts
Independently create non-linear animation utilizing XSI, including, modeling, scripting, keyframing, duplication, deformation and building simple characters
Create characters and clips, incorporating storing, playback and blending

Includes anyone with an interest in 3D animation as well as those who have already animated in either XSI or in another program.
Presentation Method
Course lectures are presented by trained, experienced professionals. In addition, a variety of interactive techniques and in-class student exercises encourage participant learning. Class sizes are intimate and are limited to six people. All classes include hands-on practice with 1 student per machine.
