'' Two tailor-made MBAs for managers within the Agricultural and Food Industries will begin at the Aberdeen Business School in September 2006. This is a collaboration between the Aberdeen Business School and Scottish Agricultural College (SAC). Depending on your choice of specialist modules the awards will be either the MBA Agribusiness Management or MBA Food Business Management.
The Aberdeen Business School has an well established reputation in corporate and management education and the MBA at the business school is developed to ensure that it meets the highest international standards, is of high quality and of direct relevance to the real world.
SAC has expertise in teaching, research and consultancy in the areas of food and agribusiness with established networks throughout the sector. Aberdeen Business School has strengths in teaching and research in a number of areas, including business management, law, finance, and information management. The MBA course structure is designed to meet the need for advanced business management education for those working in the land-based industries.

Course Aims and Benefits The agricultural and food industries are currently undergoing significant changes and have to work in a more market orientated environment in order to fulfil consumer expectations and increasing environmental concerns. Those working in these industries will require a range of management skills, a strategic perspective and familiarity with the policy environment.
This MBA programme aims are to develop those business management skills with a sound knowledge of the current issues concerning the land-based and food industries. It also provides choice to those wishing to study a particular area of the industry.
Our courses have been designed using business management modules in conjunction with specialist agricultural and food modules and will provide a specialist qualification for managers and those working in, or hoping to enter the agricultural and food industries.
